Bio:
Brought up in Hell's Kitchen - a dark and poor area in Gotham City - by his single Father, Ted Murdock, Matt learned how to live the hard way. His Father was a boxer, often coming home late at night, where Matt would have to tend to his wounds. With little income coming in, they didn't have a television, and so Matt would stay awake reading, waiting for his Father to return. Because of this, he was very intelligent at school, which drew attention from Bruce Wayne whom was attending public school as his Father said it helped him build character. Matt and Bruce became best friends, and spent almost all their time together.

For Bruce's 10th birthday, they were taken to the theater by his parents, and on the return journey took a wrong turn down an alleyway. A mugger pulled out a gun on them, and in his fear, Matt ran off back down the alley. As he ran into the road, he hadn't looked and a lorry skidded to avoid him, flipping over and it's contents - barrels from Ace Chemicals - exploded, all pouring over Matt. From that day on, he was blind. However, with his lack of sight, he'd mutated and his other senses had increased exponentially, thus he could essentially see through his other senses, along with increased reflexes and strength.

Everything came at a cost, however, as with his new abilities, he heard his Father die and the murderer walked free. This sent him down the path of law, becoming a lawyer. He worked at some large firms for a few years, collecting money to start his own business, and in his time gained a reputation for taking on powerful names and bringing them down, getting him the nickname "Daredevil". With a friend he made at college and the company, they decided to start up their own business:"Nelson and Murdock: Attorneys at Law". They hired an assistant whom had just finished college and was looking for experience in a law firm, her name was Dinah Laurel Lance. Matt and Dinah hit it off, and found that she was also working nights at her Mother's club and bar in Hell's Kitchen called 'The Black Canary'.

Matt eventually realised that being a lawyer wasn't enough to protect people, and with the Batman having become an Urban Legend, he decided to join him in his ranks. He became the Daredevil, taking it from his past, and discovered that Laurel also had a hidden side, where she was a vigilante called the Black Canary, with mutant abilities of a powerful sonic scream. The two debuted officially, aiding the Batman bring down Deathstroke, and securing an allegiance for the future. However, Matt and Laurel realised that living, working and fighting together was not going to work, breaking up their relationship where she would then move to the DA's office. Matt was then alone, but would soon meet a woman from his past, Elektra, whom would keep him occupied for a while.
