Princess Diana (Genesis)

Princess Diana of Themyscira is an Amazon, born on their Paradise Island of Themyscira. She was once the heir to the throne, the only daughter of Queen Hippolyta. However, Diana never wanted to become Queen, she wanted to fight and become an Amazon Warrior. Her Mother had once been the Amazon's Wonder Woman, their representative in the Human Realm, but she was raped by a man, and so she forbade Diana of entering the competition. Going against her Mother's orders, Diana entered anyway and one the competition, but lost her Mother's love and trust. Banished from Themyscira, Diana took the Mantle of Wonder Woman with her and went to live in America.

There, she tried to search for her Father, but she had no luck. Instead, she became the new Wonder Woman, helping out mankind, unaware of what they did to her Mother. After a few years, Diana decides to try returning home, and reconciles with her Mother, who tells her the truth about her Father. He was once a hero, fighting alongside her and 'The Justice Society' - Jay Garrick, whom was once known as the Flash. Diana tracked him down, finding not a rapist, but a retired hero . She enjoyed her time with him, before he soon passed away, and decided that the team after Starro attacked should be called the Justice League - in memory.
